Actually, I write Futuristic Erotic romances. My latest—Courting Kel—released July 28, 2010. Yes, this is shameless plug. At any rate, this story is about an Amazonian princess who thinks she’s been sold into sexual slavery to the prince of Ondrican. She doesn’t mind the sex, but she does resent the fact that the prince thinks they’re married.
The fun part of writing futuristics is that virtually anything goes. Made up worlds let the author’s imagination run wild. Amazonia, for example, is technologically challenged, while Ondrican has every gadget a person could wish for—including a touch of the paranormal like telekinesis in its residents. And there’s also a touch of whimsy in pegagryphs that fly all over the place.
I’ve also written two other futuristics that involve a meddlesome hermaphrodite. See? I told you imagination runs wild in this genre which, obviously, has little foundation in the laws of science—at least for me.
